Description
ARMORICA Marine Collagen
ARMORICA Marine Collagen Powder is made from wild-caught North Atlantic fish, primarily cod. It is rich in Type I collagen – the most abundant type in the human body – and supports healthy skin, bones, joints, and connective tissue. Its small molecular size and high bioavailability make it one of the most effective forms of collagen supplementation. It is a fine white flavourless powder that readily dissolves in drinks and foods without impacting the flavour. Many people add it to coffee or other drinks as part of their daily routine, but it can be added to broths/ stews etc too.
Health Benefits of Marine Collagen
From the age of 30, our natural collagen production starts to diminish. This is visible by the reduced elasticity in skin and increased risk of damaging joints. Supplementing your diet with marine collagen has been shown to stimulate collagen synthesis, which can help reduce wrinkles and improve skin/ joint elasticity. It also contributes to bone strength and may help maintain muscle mass when combined with resistance training. There is also some research linking marine collagen to improved gut lining integrity.
Includes vitamin C from fermented beets
Vitamin C is essential for collagen formation. It helps enzymes stabilise collagen molecules, improving skin and joint health. We include vitamin C from fermented sugar beets in our marine collagen to further help the body produce collagen effectively. Vitamin C is also a strong antioxidant that is required daily, and can help protect skin and joints from oxidative damage, and protect collagen.
What are Hydrolysed Peptides?
Our marine collagen is ‘hydrolysed’, which means enzymes have broken down the long collagen chains into smaller chains, called peptides. These peptides are easily and quickly absorbed, ensuring that what you consume gets used by the body efficiently.
Wild Fish
Our collagen is made exclusively with wild-caught fish in cold waters of the North Atlantic. Wild fish produce cleaner, more nutrient-rich collagen than farmed fish. They live in open waters, eat a natural diet, and are less likely to be exposed to contaminants. ARMORICA uses only wild fish by-products, ensuring a higher-quality, more sustainable collagen source.
Quality and Testing
Our marine collagen is tested for a variety of contaminants, such as micro-plastics, heavy metals and other environmental contaminants to ensure that it is completely safe and pure.
