Lab Test Results
We have had a number of samples tested at various laboratories during our development, and conducted a wide range of tests. Below are test results from our most recent batch of oil. This does not cover everything that we test for, but rather the more common test results that get asked for. If there are any particular test results you are interested in, please feel free to contact us.
|Omega-3 fatty acid||Quantity/ 100g|
|Eicosapentenoic acid (EPA)||6890mg|
|Other omega-3 fatty acids||4550mg|
|Total Omega-3 fatty acids||25700mg|
|Other fats||Quantity/ 100g|
|Monounsaturated fatty acids||42400mg|
|Polyunsaturated fatty acids||29000mg|
|Saturated fatty acids||19300mg|
|Vitamin A||140µg – 183µg|
|Vitamin D3||1.39µg – 2.54µg|
We have displayed the vitamins as a range to illustrate how dramatically the vitamin content can vary from test results.
|Rancidity test||Value per kg|
|Peroxide value||1.70 meq|
Exposure to air and light causes fats to form peroxides, which is an indication of rancidity. A higher value represents more damage to the oil.
|Toxin||Toxic Equivalent Value per gram|
|Sum of dioxins and dioxin like PCBs (WHO-PCDD/F-PCB-TEQ)||<4.3pg|
Maximum allowed levels set by European Commission is 6.0 ng/kg fat
